There are numerous snorkeling boats on Oahu and many will include round-trip transportation from your Waikiki hotel. Most trips take you to ocean areas close to Waikiki but others will take you to other areas across the island. One such trip takes you over the mountains through the Pali Tunnel to Kaneohe Bay where you'll sail to a sand bar that overlooks the film site of Gilligan's Island and the picturesque island called Chinaman's Hat.

Snorkel over fantastic spires and crevices of coral, watch for eels, starfish, rays, lobster, or even a giant ulua. Examples of such reefs would be on the North Shore at Haleiwa. In addition to beautiful reefs, one can almost always find schools of dolphins off the leeward coast at Waianae.
